Beauty vs "The Beast"

The crowd waited in anticipation as the airshow announcer called for a volunteer from the crowd to tame the wild and snarling 450 Stearman known as "The Beast".   From the crowd emerged the brave volunteer "Beauty", who promised to break and corral the winged beast using only her charm and beauty.

She climbed aboard the aircraft and proceeded to amaze the crowd by climbing and walking, untethered, to several different locations upon the aircraft, showing The Beast and the crowd that she was in full command.  The Beast tried to shake Beauty from her perch by gyrating through loops, rolls

and many other exciting aerobatic maneuvers.   Beauty, with all her skills and abilities, remained undaunted in her task in bringing The Beast under her full control.

The Beast, down to it's last chance to overcome Beauty's dominance, placed her in a precarious position by hanging her from her ankles beneath the lower wing.  Beauty, not to be outdone, proved to be more powerful.  She demonstrated her command of the situation by rolling The Beast onto

it's back and making a triumphant inverted flyby.   Beauty waved to the crowd during her victorious flyby.   She proved once and for all that Beauty shall always win out over The Beast.

After her victory and then back on the ground, she paraded the Beast under her full control in front of the crowd.  Jane preferred to present wing walking as it was truly done back in the 20s and 30s by the early barnstormers.  She loved to interact with the public especially the kids.  It was the highlight of every show.   Her hope was to give everyone an insight as to what early aviators and airshow performers did to WOW the crowds in those early days of aviation.
